INTERVIEW

When you were growing up, what influenced you to start singing and rapping?


Lewie Saint: Coming up in muskegon

heights music was a venting & coping mechanism but I was further inspired by other artist


Did you ever enter talent shows or perform publicly in your younger years?


Lewie Saint: My very first talent show/performance was at Bunker Middle School I was told the request was by my peers (Keisha Coles): I Shoulda Cheated.


What was life like for you as a teen? How did you adjust your singing techniques as you went through puberty?


Lewie Saint: As a teen I was an emotional person silent & misunderstood. Ended up in multiple juvenile detention centers foster care difficulties with authorities so music was a lot let to control the narrative. But I was shy as a teen cause I lost my mother at 2 years old I had a suicide attempt at 15 and being a child growing up less fortunate I didn't trust ppl so teen years was a lot.


Outside of an artist what other career paths do you see for yourself?


Lewie Saint: Outside of my music my dream has always been to be an influencer motivational analyst and entrepreneur business owner. Nonprofit for troubled & abused teens.


In your interview with Treal City you mentioned previously being in prison for 10 years. How did you keep your passion for music flowing during that time?



Lewie Saint: Yes I did 10 years in state prison and to be honest it was the inmates & guys I collaborated with during that time that gave me that extra boost of motivation I jus knew I could do what I saw other artist doing and if not more.



After your release, what lifestyle changes did you make to stay out of prison? Do you have any advice for those whose been to prison or might be facing prison time?


Lewie Saint: After my release I was forced to change my circle in order to be in position to generate a better path. My advice for ppl incarcerated would be to utilize that time invest in accepting knowledge so that not only u be fueled by it but yo peers as well. For those on there way in a institution jail or prison don't go in angry or bitter that u have to go thru this journey embrace God to the fullest carry him in yo spirit, because faith is the only way you'll pull thru.


How would you describe your style of music for someone whose never heard your music before?


Lewie Saint: MY STYLE of music is simple I just want to teach whichever audience I have, what the goal is here, which is to empower the youth feul and captivate the community with hope and make sum money with the community not off them.


What are your strengths and weaknesses as a person and artist?


Lewie Saint: My strength as a person is my Heart/wisdom, the weakness is my loyalty. My strength as an artist wold be my vision my intentions behind y I do what I do, but my weakness as an artist would be my passion.


What's the most heartfelt song you ever wrote,and can you tell readers the inspiration for it?


Lewie Saint: THE MOST HEARTFELT song I've ever wrote I'd have to say is hard to express because I give my all to every piece of art performed either on pad or engineered. But if I were to have a choice/favorite,.. I'd say my life story.


Because I grew up a short dude outta muskegon heights on the south side my first fist fight was on 5th & Columbia my mother was killed in the heights so being from the heights mean sum different to me I was taught a magnitude of things any man should kno about household landscaping the approach to a woman etc so my inspiration come from how my life took me thru turns, upside & downs battles cries lies suicide attempts prison gang shit beef etc to being a HERO to a lot of my peers or the Saint to alotta the community.


What do you want to bring to the music industry that isn't already there?


Lewie Saint: I wanna bring OPPORTUNITY BACK TO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY NOWADAYS PPL SELLING THEY SOUL TO GET DISCOVERED OR RECOGNIZED. I WANT ARTIST TO EAT AND BE ABLE TO GET IN POSITION TO FEED THEY FAMILIES THATS Y ITS DEEPER THAN THE MUSIC. MY BRAND IS (EARN STACK BUILD) E$B PRODUCTIONS IS A WAY OF LIFE. TO TEACH ONE TO BUILD A LEVEL OF THINKING WITH LOGISTICS AND EXERCISING THE STRUCTURE & ART OF A HUMBLED SPIRIT.


Being an artist means having fans from all backgrounds. How would you respond to being asked to perform for a crowd who lives a different lifestyle from yourself, but they love your music?


Lewie Saint: I would perform the best way to make sure that audience still get entertained.


What is one thing you want readers to know about you as a person and artist?


Lewie Saint: ONE THING I NEED PEOPLE TO KNOW ABOUT LEWIE SAINT?

AS A PERSON: I WANT TO BE THE VESSEL THE HELP THE CHOICE FOR THE UPLIFTMENT AND EMPOWERMENT OF MUSKEGON, I WANNA TAKE ON THE ACTION, & THE LEADERSHIP TO BECOME MUSKEGONS HERO, Why? Because I was never perfect and since all I did was pour negativity into my community I wanna use my platform to mold shape & captivate my peers my hidden enemies & the next generation of male & female.

HOWEVER AS AN ARTIST, I want people to kno where my passion comes from and that my vision is to create & generate longevity
