The Power Of Meditation

Updated: Dec 20, 2019

Discovering a new way to relax the mind, body and soul can be quit challenging since we live in such a fast past world. There are jobs that will literally fire people for calling into work for needing some TLC. Our overall health is very important and the power of meditation can be of assistance with everyday problems! Below lies 5 reasons why you should consider meditation, enjoy!

1. Clears Mental Blockages

The act of meditation slows our entire being down. This allows us to declutter our thoughts by just sitting with them. Not neccassarilly trying to dictate, transmute, or control them. Just kindly observing with a birds eye view in a sense. This allows answers to come to us with ease verses vigourously trying to find them ourselves. The essences of not be in control gives us the most power of all. Things come exactly how they're suppose to, and trusting so forces our ego to release the need to control everything.

2.Helps Control Anxiety

Many people in the world who deals with anxiety are on medication. The desire to get off may lead to lots of time talking to therapist or struggling with alternatives ways to cope. Not many of us realize that doing something simple such as counting backwards from ten is an act of meditation. This redirects the mind from what's triggering the anxiety to another act that requires focus. Which in the end, leads to calmness, clear thinking and no more racing hearts.

3. Releases Body Tension

Yoga is an act of meditation! That's right, siting criss-cross isn't the only way to meditate. When under stress our bodies tends to tense up, especially when we are angry. With a relaxed mind follows a relaxed body, As Above So Below. After a deep meditation/yoga session it's common to have more energy throughout the day and falling asleep at night becomes a breeze. In comparison to dealing with body aches and pains, and needing to take different medication for bodily problems if absolutely nothing was done.

4. Teaches Self Descipline

Think about it, not desiring control in every moment allows things to be exactly as we need them to be. Energy flows to us effortlessly when allowing things to just be, which may not be easy for everyone to do-at least in the beginning that is. This teaches us self control not only when we meditate, but this is a lesson that can be applied to our everyday life! With self control comes maturity, wisdom, clarity and so much more.

5.Pulls Us In Alignment With Like Minded People

The Law of Attraction is everyones favorite right?! For all my social butterflies out there and the ones who are still in their cocoon, I have great news for you! The conversation of meditation is everywhere - this blog post is a perfect example. Social media makes it extremely easy for us to attract like minded people with today's apps and trendy hashtags. Just imagine meeting someone new and they wanted to know if you meditate. Fast forward six months down the road, this perfect stranger is now someone you call friend. Beautiful right!
