You go by "Big Church (King of the City)", how do you think this self proclaimed title make other local artist feel?

Big Church: Growing up in Muskegon I always look at myself as a king even in the environment that I grew up in the king of the city mentality was always in me far as local artists go I know coming up in the music industry. A lot of artists are not going to like it, but once they hear me rap, they respect it.

Have you ever been involved in rap beef? If so, how do you utilize the tension to your advantage?

Big Church: I wouldn’t necessarily say that I’ve been involved in rap beef. But I will say that along the way of my rise to the top that I have had. Rappers that have tried to copycat my style and the way I rap. But I have learned to utilize what they try to do to me. And feed off of it and turn it into energy.

Having the right manager is crucial, how did you know P.Wood was the perfect match for you?

Big Church: You are so right when you say having the right managers crucial, I have had a lot of ups and downs because I did not have the right people in my corner, but patwood king has been seen my hunger and progression with my music and he is loyal and hungry himself to see his artist make it in the industry so it was only right to make him my manager. He is genuinely making sure I make the right decisions with my career I’m grateful.

There's a list going around about the top 50 rappers from Muskegon. What are your thoughts of this list?

Big Church: I understand that there is a Muskegon rap list going around and I understand that they have never mentioned me or put me on the list, but I never paid attention because of Muskegon list is not to getting me to the music industry however I never forget where I came from because part of that pain is why I go so hard with my music now I care about being on the BET hip-hop achievement Award, not a Muskegon Hometown list.

If you were invited to the BET awards and allowed to bring two people with you, who are you bringing and why?

Big Church: If I was invited to the BET awards, I mean, I like to look at it as when I am invited to the BET awards, I will bring my music manager and probably one of the guys from MBK. I like to make sure I keep the people around me I started with.
