After Hearing Chris Brown Diss Track, Was Phase 1 Diss Track Bad After All?

Lately these rappers have been showing up and out in 2024! It seems no one is holding their tongue and if you say the wrong thing, within 30 minutes a diss track is out about you.

Chris Brown (who we all know as a singer with hidden rap skills), recently dropped a diss track at Migos group member Quavo. If you haven't heard it yet, check it out here! With over a million views in a matter of 24 hours, and memes getting created like clock work. It sparks up a conversation, are there limits and boundaries with how far you can go lyrically while in a rap beef?

Before this Chris Brown and Quavo talk, Muskegon artist Phase 1 dropped the most talked about diss track of 2024 thus far for the city. If you haven't heard it, check it out here!

His diss was towards artist OG Young Bless Da Gutta after they had words on multiple occasions in regards to top 50 Muskegon rappers list, and recognition as local artist. In my interview with OG Young Bless Da Gutta he stated "I feel like He got personal problems of me tellin Him tha Bitter stuff for da bird, He took it like I’m kallin him a hater because he was komplain abt da list like he was Best of Muskegon".

After dropping his diss track, Phase 1 received mixed reviews from the general public and OG himself. Some feel since OG Young Bless Da Gutta is apart of the hard of hearing community that Phase 1 shouldn't of entertained a potential rap beef with him due to cancel culture. Others feel that as a rapper OG should known that all gloves are off when it comes to rap beef/dissing and can't bow out and try to get Phase 1 cancelled because he struck a sensitive spot. What are your thoughts on the matter? Are there limits to how far you can go lyrically in a rap beef/battle or is all gloves and there's no rules?

I would love to hear your thoughts! Follow me on Facebook at "Shona Speaks".
